The definitive media library is the responsibility of:

Facilities Management is responsible for managing the physical IT environment such as power and cooling - it does not manage software media libraries.

Access Management controls user rights and permissions to services and systems, not the storage and control of authorized software media.

Request Fulfillment handles the lifecycle of service requests from users and has no responsibility for storing or managing authorized software media.

Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) is responsible for the Definitive Media Library, a secure logical storage area where all authorized and quality-checked versions of software configuration items are stored and protected. SACM maintains the integrity of these assets by tracking, controlling, and auditing all media items held within the DML.
