This Refund Policy applies to purchases made on NerdExam, a service operated by WADL Solutions Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (CR# 80143234), with registered office at Unit 2904-05, 29/F, Universal Trade Centre, 3 Arbuthnot Road, Central, Hong Kong. NerdExam offers a structured guarantee and refund policy designed to protect both our customers and the integrity of our content. Our policy varies based on the type of purchase.
Refund Tiers at a Glance
Tier 1: Pass Guarantee (Purchases with PDF)
We are confident in our product. If you purchase exam access with the PDF add-on, study our materials, and still fail the official certification exam on your first attempt, we will refund the exam access portion of your purchase.
This guarantee reflects our confidence that NerdExam's comprehensive question bank will prepare you to pass. To claim a refund under the Pass Guarantee:
- 1You must fail the corresponding official certification exam on your first attempt (e.g., if you purchased AZ-900, you must fail the Microsoft AZ-900 exam).
- 2The exam failure must occur between 7 and 60 days after your NerdExam purchase. Failures within 7 days of purchase are not eligible, as we recommend a minimum 7-day study period with our materials.
- 3You must submit your official score report(PDF or screenshot) showing the failure. The candidate name on the score report must match the purchaser's name.
- 4Submit your refund request with proof within 7 days of the exam failure to [email protected].
- 5The PDF Download portion ($19.99) is non-refundable as it is an immediately delivered digital good. The refund applies to the exam access fee only.
- 6NerdExam reserves the right to verify score report authenticity through official vendor certification portals. Submitting falsified, altered, or fraudulent score reports will result in permanent account termination without refund.
Alternative: Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive one free exam exchange to a different NerdExam product of equal or lesser value.
Tier 2: 7-Day Refund (Purchases without PDF)
If you purchased Exam Access or Exam Pro without the PDF add-on, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days. Refund approval is subject to a usage review:

If your refund is denied due to significant usage, you can still qualify by providing proof of failure on the official certification exam (same requirements as Tier 1: official score report within 60 days of purchase). Alternatively, you may choose a free exam exchange to a different NerdExam product of equal or lesser value.
Upon refund approval, your exam access will be immediately revoked. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method.
PDF Downloads
PDF downloads are non-refundable
The PDF Download add-on ($19.99) is an immediately delivered digital product. Once downloaded, it cannot be returned. This is consistent with industry-standard practices for digital goods. If you purchased exam access with a PDF and request a refund, the PDF cost will be deducted from the refund amount.
Refund Exclusions
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following situations:
- 1Failure within 7 days of purchase. We strongly recommend a minimum 7-day study period. Failures within 7 days indicate insufficient preparation with our materials.
- 2Non-corresponding exams. We only process refunds for the specific exam you purchased access to. Failing a different exam does not qualify.
- 3Wrong purchases. Purchasing the incorrect exam product does not qualify for a refund once accessed.
- 4Promotional or discounted purchases. Products purchased during sales, promotions, or with special discount codes are final sale.
- 5Mismatched identity. The candidate name on the score report must match the purchaser name on the NerdExam account.
- 6Expired requests. Refund requests submitted more than 60 days after purchase will not be honored.
- 7Repeated abuse. Accounts with a pattern of purchasing and requesting refunds across multiple exams will be flagged and denied.
- 8Significant usage (Tier 2 only). If you have created 3 or more practice sessions, attempted 30% or more of available questions, or scored above the passing threshold, refunds will be denied.
How to Request a Refund

- Date of exam attempt
- Submit within 7 days of failure

- Submit within 7 days of purchase
Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method (Stripe or PayPal).
Exchange Option
Free exam exchange available
Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive access to a different NerdExam product of equal or lesser value at no additional cost. Exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days of exam failure. The exchanged exam includes the same access duration as your original purchase.
Usage Monitoring
NerdExam tracks usage metrics including practice sessions created, questions attempted, and completion data to ensure fair use of our refund policy. By purchasing our products, you acknowledge that this data may be used in evaluating refund requests. All usage data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Final Interpretation
For cases not explicitly covered by this policy, NerdExam reserves the right of final interpretation. All refund decisions are at our sole discretion. We aim to be fair and transparent in all interactions.
