Which process or function is responsible for the Definitive Media Library and Definitive Spares?

Facilities Management is concerned with the physical IT environment such as data centers and power, not with controlling software libraries or spare hardware assets.

Access Management is responsible for granting authorized users the right to use a service, and has no role in managing physical or software asset repositories.

Request Fulfillment handles user service requests for standard changes or information, and is not accountable for maintaining controlled stores of software or hardware.

Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) is responsible for the Definitive Media Library, which stores authorized software versions, and Definitive Spares, which holds spare hardware components. SACM tracks, records, and protects these controlled items as part of maintaining the Configuration Management System (CMS) and ensuring only authorized assets are used in the IT environment.
