Why each option

To exclude specific values from a list, use the condition builder to create a filter that specifies the exclusion.

AOn Search, select State, type not Resolved, press enter

Using 'Search' with 'not Resolved' in a general search bar is not the standard or most effective way to build a precise condition-based filter in ServiceNow lists.

BOn State column title, right-click, select Filter Out > Resolved

While right-clicking a column title offers filtering options, 'Filter Out > Resolved' typically applies to the specific column and may not be the most robust method for complex exclusions compared to the condition builder.

COn the list of records, locate and right-click on the Resolved value, select Filter Out

Right-clicking on a specific value in a record and selecting 'Filter Out' will exclude that single value from the current list, but it's often less precise than building a condition.

DOn the list of records, locate and right-click on the Resolved value, select Exclude

'Exclude' is not a standard option found when right-clicking a value on a ServiceNow list for filtering purposes.

EClick Funnel icon, click AND, Select Resolved, is Not, State, click RunCorrect

Clicking the Funnel icon opens the condition builder, allowing you to explicitly construct a filter using 'State is not Resolved' logic, which will then be applied by clicking 'Run' to exclude those incidents.
