Starting with vSphere 5.1, VMware resolved the prior incompatibility between Storage DRS and vSphere Replication, allowing both features to operate simultaneously on the same VMs without per-VM exclusions or RPO modifications. In vSphere 5.5, administrators can enable Storage DRS on a production site that uses vSphere Replication without making any changes to the existing configuration.

Disabling Storage DRS on VMs that use vSphere Replication is not required in vSphere 5.5, as the two technologies are designed to coexist without per-VM exclusions.

Changing the Recovery Point Objective for replicated virtual machines is unrelated to enabling Storage DRS and would not be a required step for this configuration.

Storage DRS and vSphere Replication can be used together in vSphere 5.5 and later; this limitation applied only to earlier vSphere versions.
