Switch peer groups are a Layer 2 switching construct related to EtherChannel or redundancy topologies and have no relevance to wireless client mobility between controller groups.

A workgroup bridge is a device mode used to connect wired clients to a network over a wireless link and is unrelated to enabling client roaming between controller domains.

An mDNS gateway handles multicast DNS service discovery and advertisement across VLANs or subnets and has no function in enabling client roaming between mobility groups.

By default, seamless client roaming is only supported between WLCs that belong to the same mobility group. When controllers are organized into separate groups such as ABC and XYZ, mobility lists must be configured on each WLC to add the peer controllers from the other group, establishing an inter-group mobility relationship. This allows clients to roam across group boundaries and maintain their session without full re-authentication.
