What should be done after the initial configuration of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Presence integration?

The Cisco SIP Proxy Server is a separate component and restarting it alone does not apply UCM-to-Presence integration configuration changes.

The Application Listener is not the service responsible for processing the UCM-Presence integration settings and restarting it would not activate the integration.

Restarting the Cisco Unified Presence Service is the required step after initial UCM-Presence integration configuration because the service must reload to recognize the newly configured AXL and SIP trunk parameters from UCM. Without this restart, the presence subscriptions and synchronization between the two systems will not function correctly.

Restarting Cisco Unified Communications Manager Services is disruptive and unnecessary - the configuration change is applied on the Presence side, not the UCM side.

A restart is explicitly required; without it the Presence Service continues running with its previous configuration and ignores the new integration parameters.
