What is a requirement when enabling a Virtual SAN cluster in an existing High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) Cluster?

DRS does not conflict with enabling VSAN and does not need to be disabled; only HA must be turned off prior to VSAN enablement.

DRS has no prerequisite relationship to VSAN and does not need to be enabled beforehand; it is an independent cluster scheduling feature.

VMware requires HA to be disabled before enabling VSAN because HA relies on datastore heartbeating and enabling VSAN changes the underlying storage configuration, which causes conflicts with the existing HA setup. After VSAN is fully enabled, HA can be re-enabled so it properly utilizes the new VSAN datastore for heartbeating.

Storage DRS is a separate feature for storage load balancing and has no prerequisite or dependency relationship with enabling VSAN.
