Why each option
The SmartConsole Gateways and Servers tab does not include a built-in SSH client - opening an SSH session requires a separate terminal application outside of SmartConsole.
Upgrading the software version is available from the Gateways and Servers tab through SmartUpdate integration, allowing administrators to push Gaia OS and package upgrades directly from the console.
Opening the WebUI (Gaia Portal) is available from the Gateways and Servers tab context menu, launching the gateway's browser-based management interface for OS-level configuration.
The right-click context menu for a gateway object in the Gateways and Servers tab provides actions such as WebUI access, software upgrade via SmartUpdate, and opening a support case, but it does not offer a native SSH terminal session. SSH connectivity to a gateway must be established through an external client such as PuTTY or a system terminal. This function is explicitly absent from the SmartConsole interface by design, as the console is a policy management tool rather than a remote access client.
Opening a service request with Check Point Technical Support is an available action from the Gateways and Servers tab, which links the administrator to Check Point's support portal with gateway context pre-populated.
