3-phase power is a distinct type of electrical service supplied by the utility provider and cannot be generated simply by rewiring single-phase conductors. The correct first step is to consult a licensed electrician to assess whether 3-phase service already enters the building or can be extended from elsewhere in the facility. Only after confirming availability can the electrician run the appropriate wiring to the server room.

A blade server chassis designed for 3-phase operation has power supplies built around 3-phase input; there is no standard adapter that safely reconfigures the chassis to operate on single-phase power.
