A network security engineer has been asked to analyze Wildfire activity. However, the Wildfire Submissions item is not visible form the Monitor tab. What could cause this condition?

While an active WildFire subscription is required for functionality, its absence typically does not remove the UI menu item itself, but rather prevents submissions or displays an inactive status.

On Palo Alto Networks firewalls, access to specific UI elements and data, such as WildFire Submissions, is controlled by role-based access control (RBAC). If the item is not visible, it indicates that the engineer's account lacks the necessary permissions to view that section.

A policy blocking WildFire submission traffic would prevent logs from being generated, but it would not hide the 'WildFire Submissions' menu item from the Monitor tab.

If there were no WildFire Submissions log entries, the log view would appear empty, but the 'WildFire Submissions' item on the Monitor tab would still be present and accessible.
