Viewing reports remotely is a function of the RSA enVision web-based reporting interface and is unrelated to the Remote Collector component.
Unlike a Local Collector, a Remote Collector is deployed at a remote site and buffers collected event data locally, then transfers that data to the central server at scheduled intervals. This is valuable for sites with intermittent or bandwidth-constrained WAN links, as it decouples collection from transmission. Scheduled transfers make the Remote Collector practical in distributed network environments.
