Why each option
During ESXi installation, the setup wizard only allows configuration of a vmkernel interface for management traffic; all other services require post-installation configuration.
The ESXi installation wizard exposes only a management network vmkernel configuration step, which establishes host connectivity for administrative access; vMotion, Fault Tolerance logging, and IP storage vmkernel adapters must be created after installation via the vSphere Client or Host Client.
vMotion is not configurable during the ESXi installation wizard and must be enabled on a vmkernel adapter post-installation.
Fault Tolerance logging is not an option in the ESXi installation process and requires post-installation vmkernel configuration.
IP storage vmkernel configuration for iSCSI or NFS is not available during the initial ESXi installation wizard.
