Junctions exist within a single SVM namespace - crossing a junction does not move a client to a different SVM.
A junction point is a defined mount location in the SVM namespace where a separate ONTAP volume is attached. When a NAS client traverses a junction, it seamlessly enters that mounted child volume, crossing a volume boundary. The transition is transparent to the client but results in I/O being served from a different FlexVol or FlexGroup volume.
