Why each option
Enabling mixed mode on an 802.11n access point allows it to simultaneously support legacy 802.11b clients alongside newer 802.11n clients.
Mixed mode (also called legacy support mode) configures the AP to transmit beacon frames and management frames in a way that 802.11b devices can understand, while still supporting higher-speed 802.11n connections. Without this setting, an AP set to 802.11n-only mode will refuse associations from 802.11b radios that cannot interpret 802.11n-only signaling.
Disabling the SSID hides the network name from broadcast discovery but has no effect on whether different 802.11 standard versions can interoperate.
Disabling encryption removes security but does not resolve a protocol-version compatibility issue between 802.11b and 802.11n devices.
Enabling 'n only' mode does the opposite of what is needed - it would explicitly block 802.11b devices from connecting.
