Question

The owner of Margie's Travel has asked you to finish formatting an event flyer. Add a 3 pt Dark Blue, Accent1 Box border to the whole documents.

Explanation

This simulation task tests your ability to apply a page border to an entire Word document using specific formatting attributes: a Box style, Dark Blue Accent 1 color, and 3 pt width.

Approach. To complete this task, go to the Design tab (or Page Layout tab in older versions of Word), click Page Borders in the Page Background group. In the Borders and Shading dialog, select Box under Setting, choose the solid line Style, set the Color to Dark Blue, Accent 1 (found in the Theme Colors palette), set the Width to 3 pt, and ensure the Apply to dropdown is set to 'Whole document'. Click OK to apply.

Concept tested. Applying page borders in Microsoft Word - specifically navigating to the Borders and Shading dialog, selecting a Box border setting, choosing a theme color (Dark Blue, Accent 1), setting line width in points, and scoping the border to the whole document.
