What is the default export routing policy for EBGP?

By default, an EBGP speaker will only advertise routes that it has learned from other BGP peers and that are marked as "active" in its routing table. This means it re-advertises BGP routes that it considers best and that have been installed in the forwarding table. It does not by default advertise routes learned via Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs) or routes that are inactive.

EBGP does not accept *all* BGP routes for export by default; it only exports *active* BGP routes that it has selected as the best path.

EBGP does not accept no routes by default; it does advertise its active BGP learned routes.

EBGP does not by default accept all active IGP routes for export; these would need to be explicitly redistributed into BGP using a policy.
