For the relay-type OUT, all alarms of the SM segment are terminated at the local station and will not be sent downstream (except OTUk LOF inserted downward into ODUk PM_AIS). Other alarms continue to be transmitted downstream and reported on the WDM side of OUT (except R_LOS inserts ODUk_PM_AlS to the downstream station)
