Explanation
Snowflake treats external and internal stages very differently when dropped. For external stages, only the stage definition (the metadata pointer) is removed from Snowflake - the actual files in the external cloud storage (S3, Azure Blob, GCS) are left completely untouched because Snowflake does not own that storage. For internal stages, Snowflake owns the underlying storage, so dropping the stage permanently deletes all staged files along with it. These files do NOT go through Time Travel or Fail-safe and are therefore unrecoverable. Option C is wrong because it incorrectly states the files are recoverable. Option E is wrong because all files in an internal stage are deleted, not just 'selected' ones.
