Containers are a software packaging and isolation technology that improve deployment consistency but do not themselves provide computing resources or eliminate hardware procurement.

Private cloud still requires the organization to own and provision physical infrastructure within their own data centers, so it does not eliminate procurement.

Microservices is an application architecture pattern that decomposes software into small services; it does not address infrastructure procurement or resource availability.
