Restricted objects would be fully hidden or blocked by security, not rendered in a grayed-out italic style that still allows the user to see them.

In Web Intelligence, when a report contains multiple data providers, objects from different providers that are not linked through a merged dimension cannot be used together in the same block. Those incompatible objects are displayed grayed out and in italics to signal they are not synchronized with the currently selected objects, preventing invalid cross-provider combinations.

Differing data formats between objects do not trigger the grayed-out italic display behavior in the Data tab.

Objects sharing the same data type can still be unsynchronized across data providers; data type compatibility alone does not cause the italic grayed-out appearance.
