Why each option
When a device is plugged into the unused Ethernet port of a Mesh Access Point (MAP), it is placed on the native VLAN of that MAP's wired interface by default.
The unused Ethernet port on a MAP acts as a bridged port and by default passes traffic on the native VLAN configured on that MAP's wired uplink. This allows wired clients to connect without additional VLAN configuration, inheriting the native VLAN already assigned to the MAP's backhaul interface.
WLAN 1 on the WLC is a logical wireless construct and is not automatically mapped to a MAP's physical Ethernet port by default.
The WLC's native VLAN is not automatically extended to a MAP's Ethernet port - the MAP uses its own local wired interface native VLAN.
