When configuringan IM and Presence server on the Expressway-C or VCS-C, which role must the user have for connecting to the IM and Presence server?

Standard CTI Enabled is a role that grants Computer Telephony Integration privileges on CUCM for device control and call monitoring, not for IM and Presence server API connectivity.

Standard Serviceability Administration grants access to serviceability tools such as RTMT and log collection, which is unrelated to the programmatic API access needed by Expressway.

The Administrative XML Layer (AXL) API is the interface Expressway-C or VCS-C uses to query the IM and Presence server for user and configuration data during Mobile and Remote Access (MRA) provisioning. The service account must be assigned the Standard AXL API Access role to authorize these API calls and complete the integration successfully.

Standard CCM Admin Users grants basic CUCM administration access and does not provide the AXL API permissions required for Expressway-to-IM and Presence server communication.
