Which technology can be used to pair an iPad with a Cisco room-based video collaboration endpoint?

Bluetooth is not used by Cisco room endpoints for device pairing in the Intelligent Proximity workflow.

Wi-Fi alone does not provide the proximity detection mechanism needed to pair and control a room endpoint from a mobile device.

Cisco Intelligent Proximity uses inaudible ultrasound signals emitted by the room endpoint to detect and pair nearby mobile devices. Once paired, the iPad can control the endpoint, share content wirelessly, and access call details - all without requiring manual network configuration or pre-pairing steps.

Zigbee is a low-power IoT mesh protocol and is not implemented in Cisco video collaboration endpoints for device pairing.
