Why each option
Enterprise Manager Database Express is a web-based interface for managing an Oracle database, supporting HTTP/HTTPS protocols and requiring the database to be open.
While EM Database Express offers some basic management capabilities, it does not provide comprehensive database backup operations; full backup functionality is typically handled by RMAN or a full Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control installation.
Enterprise Manager Database Express uses HTTP as one of its primary communication protocols to allow users to access its web-based interface via a standard web browser.
Each instance of Enterprise Manager Database Express configured on the same host machine must use a unique port number to avoid network port conflicts and ensure proper service accessibility.
For secure communication, Enterprise Manager Database Express also supports the HTTPS protocol, encrypting data exchanged between the browser and the database instance.
Enterprise Manager Database Express connects directly to the database instance to retrieve performance metrics, configuration details, and perform operations, thus it is only available and functional when the database is in an open state.

6B, D, and E are correct. EM Database Express runs as a web-based tool built into the database itself, so it supports both HTTP and HTTPS for browser access, and it only comes alive when the database is open since it relies on the XML DB HTTP server, which also means each instance on the same host gets its own unique port (ruling out C), and it cannot perform backups since that requires RMAN or full EM Cloud Control.
So EM Express needs the DB open, not just mounted, but do you know why it can't do backups?
EM Express is read-only and has no backup or recovery interface at all, so you need RMAN or Data Pump for any backup work regardless of whether the DB is open or mounted.
C is the trap, each DB gets its own port. B, D, E.
I have been configuring EM since the old DB Control days and A is absolutely on that list, because Database Express gives you access to backup and recovery settings right from the Performance Hub area, same as it did when Oracle first shipped this lightweight replacement for DB Control in 12c.
Dragan, appreciate the history lesson on DB Control, but backup and recovery configuration is actually one of the things Oracle deliberately left out of EM Database Express to keep it lightweight, so A does not belong on that list. The consensus in the group landed on B, D, E and that lines up with what the Oracle docs say about what EM Express actually supports, so I think we should stick with that.
