The correct answers are B, D, and E. These three represent layer integrity messages that signal the OS or installation state is unresolved, specifically a pending driver restart on the boot disk, a pending post-installation restart, and an in-progress MSI operation, all of which mean the layer's captured state would be incomplete or corrupt if you finalized right then. A and C describe session or profile activity that does not constitute a layer integrity warning in the Citrix App Layering tool. Card-worthy fact here: the distinction the exam tests is between true layer integrity alerts (pending reboots, active installs) versus general machine activity (logged-on users, profile changes). Make separate cards for each of the five distractors and note which bucket each falls into, because the exam loves to mix them.

B, D, E are the three layer integrity messages you must address. The Citrix App Layering documentation specifies that before finalizing (sealing) an application layer, the system will block completion if any of these conditions are detected: a restart pending for driver updates on the boot disk (B), a post-installation restart pending (D), or an MSI install operation still in progress (E). User profile updates (A) and other logged-on users (C) are not integrity checks that the layering platform surfaces as blocking conditions during the finalization process.

The one that got me on my first attempt was C, because it sounds like it should matter but "additional users logged on" is not a layer integrity check the system flags as a blocker, it is just a state you need to manage yourself before publishing. B, D, and E are the three actual integrity messages that will stop you from finalizing: a restart pending for driver updates, a post-install restart pending, and an active MSI operation still running.

B, D, E are right, though C trips people up since active sessions feel risky too.

Our group landed on B, D, and E pretty quickly once someone pointed out that the integrity messages blocking finalization are all about system-level states like pending restarts and active install operations, not user session activity. Can anyone explain why Citrix draws that line there, meaning why an MSI operation in progress blocks you but additional logged-on users apparently do not count as a blocking condition?
