IntelliCache is not an option configurable on the host connection itself; it is a property of the storage resource, so modifying the host connection alone will not enable it.

IntelliCache is configured at the storage resource level in XenDesktop, not at the host connection level. Because IntelliCache cannot be enabled on an existing resource, the engineer must create a new resource using the existing XenServer host connection and enable IntelliCache during that resource creation process, without disrupting the connection itself.

Deleting and recreating the resource with the same name is unnecessary; a new resource can simply be added using the existing host connection without removing the old one.

Deleting the existing host connection is destructive and unnecessary; IntelliCache is enabled at the resource level and does not require a new host connection to the same pool.
