Active Writeback synchronizes in-session profile changes back to the profile store while the user is still logged on, which improves data consistency but does not reduce the time spent copying the profile at logon.

Profile Streaming (Streamed User Profiles) fetches profile files and folders on-demand as users access them, rather than synchronizing the entire profile to the local machine before the desktop is presented. For profiles that have grown to 500 MB or more, this eliminates the full-profile-copy delay at logon. The result is a dramatically faster logon experience because users see their desktop almost immediately while background streaming continues.

Registry Exclusion removes specified registry hive entries from the profile to reduce profile size over time, but it does not change how the existing large profile is loaded during the logon process.

Cross Platform Settings enables profile data to be shared across different operating systems or application versions; it addresses compatibility, not logon performance caused by large profile sizes.
