C is correct. The Interceptor sits in the traffic path and redirects connections to Steelhead appliances for optimization, so the connection tracing feature logically lives on the Interceptor and shows you where it sent specific connections. A and B get the direction backwards, putting the Steelhead in the role of doing the redirecting to Interceptors, which is not how the architecture works. D is a distractor pulling in the Mobile Controller, which is a separate product and has nothing to do with this tracing function. When you see a tracing or lookup feature on a device, ask yourself what that device actually does in the flow, and the answer usually follows from there.

Carlos nailed the architecture logic, but worth adding that if you have never actually watched the Interceptor intercept a connection in the appliance console, his explanation stays abstract and you will probably miss a similar question next time it is worded differently.

Jumped to B first, then noticed B flips who does the redirecting, and the Interceptor redirects to Steelheads, not vice versa.

Good catch on the direction flip, that's the exact trap, because the Interceptor's whole job is to steer traffic toward the Steelheads, so if an answer has Steelhead redirecting to Interceptor you can cross it out immediately.

So from what our senior showed me, the Interceptor is the one doing the redirecting here, and it sends traffic toward Steelhead appliances, so C seems right because you are tracing what the Interceptor itself handed off. Can someone clarify though whether connection tracing also shows you the reason a specific connection got redirected to one Steelhead over another, or does it just confirm which one received it?
