You configure historical records for SmartReporter Express reports inside SmartDashboard on the SmartView Monitor page of the gateway object itself, because that is where the gateway is told to collect and retain the traffic statistics that SmartReporter later pulls to build those Express reports. If you skip that step in the gateway object, SmartReporter has no historical data to work with regardless of what you configure on the reporting side.

This one is a clock trap for people who have not touched the actual gateway object config. The key insight is that Express reports in SmartReporter pull traffic stats from SmartView Monitor, and for that to work, historical logging has to be enabled on the gateway itself, which you do in SmartDashboard on the SmartView Monitor page inside the R77 Security Gateway object, not inside SmartReporter at all. Options B and C are wrong because SmartReporter is the consumer of that data, not the place you turn on the collection, and D is a dead end because Global Properties is not where per-gateway monitor settings live. When I sat this exam I burned a full 90 seconds on this question second-guessing myself on D, thinking "global properties sounds authoritative," but then I remembered that you always configure what data a gateway reports by editing that gateway object directly in SmartDashboard, and A locked in immediately. Flag-and-revisit if you are blanking, but if you have any lab time with R77 under your belt you should be able to knock this out in under 30 seconds and bank the time for the scenario questions later in the set.
