4C is the one that does not fit the Check Point licensing model because BYOL licenses for CloudGuard are tied to the number of virtual cores you are licensed for, not simply matched one-to-one with however many vCores happen to be in your VM. The license has to cover the exact core count, so the idea that you can just freely use as many licenses as you have cores conflates how the licensing is counted with how it is allocated, and that is not how CP structures it.
C tripped me on the real exam too, but core count math saved me.
C is the right pick and if you genuinely understand why, this whole question becomes trivial. Here is my question for you: do you actually know how Check Point counts what a CloudGuard BYOL license covers, meaning what the unit of licensing is for a gateway deployed in AWS, or did you just guess C because it sounded weird?
The unit is the virtual core count of the EC2 instance, so if you just memorized C without knowing that the BYOL license has to match the vCPU count of whatever instance type you spin up, you will get torched the moment they rephrase it as a scenario question.
