5FFFFFD is your answer. That is the well-known address for the RSCN (Registered State Change Notification) controller, and when a fabric event triggers state changes, the FSPF and name service machinery routes RSCN frames to FFFFFD so it can distribute notifications out to any N_Port that registered for them via the SCR (State Change Registration) process.
Thought FFFFFC was the FSNM, then remembered FFFFFD is the RSCN multicast address.
FFFFFD is RSCN, right, but do not sleep on FFFFFA for the fabric controller either, since that one trips people up just as often on the multicast address list.
FFFFFC is your RSCN multicast address, the fabric controller handles those notifications.
Mateus, appreciate the effort, but FFFFFC is the Fabric Controller address, not the RSCN destination. RSCNs are delivered to FFFFFD, the Name Server, so D is correct here.
