A dynamic device group filter

Unlike a static filter that captures a fixed device set at creation time, a dynamic device group filter executes its defined criteria at the moment it is applied. This means newly added, removed, or changed devices are automatically reflected in the results each time the filter runs, without requiring manual updates to the group definition.

Allowing manual addition of devices during report creation describes an interactive selection process, not the automatic runtime re-evaluation that characterizes a dynamic filter.

Providing a fixed list of all devices for a particular type describes the behavior of a static or predefined device group, not a dynamic filter resolved at runtime.

Assigning devices at the time the filter is created is the defining characteristic of a static filter, which is the direct opposite of dynamic filter behavior.
