On-Demand authentication is C. The system generates a tokencode and delivers it to the user through an out-of-band channel like SMS or email, so no physical token is required.

The "On-Demand" name is doing real work here, so do not let option A pull you toward it just because Next Tokencode mode also uses two codes in sequence. On-Demand authentication means the system pushes a one-time tokencode out to the user through an out-of-band channel, which is SMS or email, so C is the answer.

Think of it like a hotel front desk handing you a spare key when you locked yourself out, they are not sending it through the mail or making you swipe twice, they are just giving you a temporary one right there on the spot. That is exactly what On-Demand authentication is, B is the answer, because an admin is manually stepping in to assign a temporary tokencode directly to the user who needs access in that moment.

Good analogy Mateus, but it actually describes Emergency Access, which is C, because On-Demand is the system automatically pushing a tokencode to the user's registered device (SMS or email) without any admin involvement, whereas Emergency Access is precisely that admin-manual step where someone in the console assigns a temporary fixed passcode directly to the account.
