Certified Function Point Specialist

Some questions here ran harder than what I saw on the real exam, which stung mid-study - but the VAF and General System Characteristics coverage was genuinely solid.

Had years of estimation work but IFPUG counting rules are stricter than expected. The transaction function type drills here sharpened my approach before exam day.

The ILF vs EIF rule was fuzzy for me - this cleared it up.

Coming from QA, functional sizing felt foreign at first. Practicing boundary identification and EI classification made the CFPS concepts actually stick.

I moved from project management into software measurement consulting and needed the CFPS to be taken seriously by clients. The questions on unadjusted function point counting and application boundary scoping pushed me to actually understand the standard, not just memorize it. Cleared it first attempt and it opened doors right away.

The I40-420 covers more ground than I expected - EIF identification, transaction types, and counting adjustments all show up. I underestimated the boundary definition questions and had to restudy that section before I felt ready. Passed on my second attempt and feel much more grounded using function points in real estimation work now.
