Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE v3.1) Written Exam

I spent years doing implementation work and assumed CCDE was beyond my reach. The operations domain - management, monitoring, and long-term optimization - was the section that surprised me most. Passing 400-007 was the credential that finally got me into architect-level conversations.

The 400-007 is less about knowing features and more about knowing when and why to use them at enterprise scale. Working through the QoS and wireless integration design scenarios here sharpened my thinking before the real exam. It is a legitimate challenge, but targeted practice like this makes it manageable.

Some questions here felt harder than the actual 400-007 - but that gap worked in my favor. I felt ready when the routing redundancy and scalability scenarios came up.
